Oil on canvas still life with bottle of wine, glass of red wine, small green pot and an ashtray with matches and two cigarettes, signed lower left Cornelius Hankins (Cornelius Haly Hankins, Mississippi/Tennessee, 1863-1946). Hankins studied with Robert Henri, leader of the Ashcan school and William Merritt Chase in New York before settling in Nashville. Later giltwood frame with beaded rabbet edge and foliate molding. 17" x 14" canvas size, 21" x 18" framed. Condition: Excellent condition.
