Late Sheraton – early Classical period bed, attributed to Kentucky, cherry with red wash; scalloped headboard and conforming footboard, both with molded scrolled ears; baluster and ring turned posts over octagonal plinths and ring turned, tapered feet. Old rails. 87" H (7'3") x 62" W x 80" L (posts 4", rails 72"). Interior dimensions – 56" x 74". Circa 1825. Provenance: the collection of Nathan Harsh, Gallatin, TN. CONDITION: Lacking finials or tester. Missing bolt hole covers. Scattered minor scuffs and abrasions, overall good condition. No mattress.
