Grouping of three (3) framed embroidered Qing textiles, including one (1) silk red ground textile with two foo dogs and tiger surrounded by foliate, insect, and precious object motifs, all rendered in "forbidden stitch" and incorporating some gilt metallic threads; one (1) pink ground circular silk textile with peacock embroidered decoration, now mounted on a larger silk pink textile field; and one (1) faded red silk ground textile with flowering plant, table, and flaming pearl decoration framed within a green printed border. Ranging in size from 12 1/4" H x 14 1/4" W to 20 3/8" square. All Chinese, late 19th or early 20th century.
PROVENANCE: The collection of Gerry Sadow, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: 1st textile with losses to right border and top right corner with some minor scattered staining; 2nd textile in overall good condition with fading to background; 3rd textile in overall good condition with minor scattered discoloration to background.
