Rare pair of Samson French ceramic falcon figurines, modeled after 18th century Chinese designs. Signed with Samson mark to underside. 17 1/2 in. H. Late 19th to early 20th century.
PROVENANCE: The collection of Hal and Susan Oven, Nashville.
CONDITION: Overall very good condition. One falcon has loss to end of tail and a very tiny loss to the tip of one branch. Glaze voids to undersides of wings on both figures, likely in the making.
