Eames No. 670 & 671 lounge chair and ottoman, made by Herman Miller and designed in 1956 by Charles Eames (American, 1907-1978) and Ray Eames (American, 1912-1988). Cherry veneer shells with black leather cushions and cast aluminum bases. Rectangular Herman Miller silver metal labels to undersides of chair and ottoman. Chair with an additional paper label with a manufacturing date of 8-22-03 (2003). Chair measures 32 1/2″ H x 32 3/4″ W x 28″ D. Ottoman measures: 17″ H x 25 1/2″ W x 22″ D.
PROVENANCE: Private Knoxville, TN Collection.
CONDITION: Both pieces are in overall good condition. The shell of both the chair and ottoman with minor scuffing to the fouter edges. General surface wear to the leather of both pieces, some scuffing to the leather below the armrests.
