Alabama cherry bookcase desk in two sections having a six pane top with a very shallow angled cornice over a lower section having turned legs with square stile design, yellow pine secondary. Lower section desk opens to six cubby holes and a lower well. Cabinet: 39 1/2" H x 38" W x 12 5/8" D. Desk: 30 1/2" H x 35" W x 27 1/2" D. Mid-19th century. Provenance: Private Southeast Tennessee collection. CONDITION: Retains the original dark finish. Overall good condition with expected general wear. Old repair to one door hinge.
