Southern Hepplewhite form sugar chest, Virginia or the Carolinas, figured walnut primary, poplar secondary. Diminutive form comprised of a rectangular, ogee molded hinged top above a case with exposed dovetails having a medial molding and a lower dovetailed drawer with round brass pulls, all resting on square tapered legs. 31 1/4" H x 21 1/4" W x 15" D. Circa 1825. CONDITION: Replaced lock in upper well and replaced hinges. Older refinish.
