Browne (New York, 1907-1991) watercolor on paper landscape painting, titled "Old Street, Rockport", depicting a figure in a peach dress walking down a wide street partially shaded by trees with two white buildings having green shutters and roofs. Two additional, shaded figures beside a utility pole and a large body of water are visible in the background beneath a pale blue sky. Signed "Syd Browne" lower right. Titled in pencil, en verso of matte. Young Fine Arts 1993 sticker label and pencil inscription with title, en verso of frame; additional Young Fine Arts label to glass below image. CONDITION: 1st item: Light toning, otherwise very good condition. Not examined outside of frame. Frame with minor abrasions, areas of loss. 2nd item: Overall very good condition with minute warping and toning of paper. Not examined outside of frame.
