Large Japanese porcelain Imari or Arita charger having alternating panels of figural and floral decoration to the top surface. Cobalt scrolling foliate designs above a band of geometric cobalt decoration to the outer rim. Red six character Hichozan Shimpo mark to the base. 21" dia. Meiji Period. Provenance: Private Louisville, TN collection. CONDITION: Tight hairline to rim, approx. 3 1/2" L, inconspicuous on front, otherwise overall good condition.
