Seventy-two (72) piece Royal Crown Derby "Gold Aves" pattern porcelain dinner service, featuring 22 karat yellow gold hand decorated birds of paradise and peacocks among flora, with scalloped rims. Includes: twenty-eight (28) dinner plates, five (5) having a slightly different pattern to rims (10 1/2" dia.); sixteen (16) Sheffield dessert plates (8 1/2" dia.); twelve (12) salad plates (8 1/2" dia.); and sixteen (16) rim soup bowls (8 3 /8" dia.). All items with red Royal Crown Derby stamps to underside of bases. 20th century.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Margaret Harold Roberts, Lookout Mountain, Georgia.
CONDITION: All items in overall very good condition with normal surface wear and some areas of minor wear to decorations.
