Sixteen (16) piece Chinese Export blue and white porcelain tea service with subtly reeded bodies, parcel-gilt accents, seaside landscape scenes, and geometrically patterned rims, including one (1) teapot with interlacing, naturalistic handle and gourd or fruit form finial to lid; four (4) tea bowls; five (5) teacups with naturalistic handle; five (5) saucers; and one (1) teacup with naturalistic handle and scalloped rim. All pieces except teacup with scalloped rim with etched "B" to underside. Ranging in size from 1 7/8" H x 3 1/8" W x 2 1/4" D to 3 7/8" H x 8 3/4" W x 4 3/8" D. Late 18th/early 19th century.
PROVENANCE: Private Williamson County, Tennessee collection.
CONDITION: All items in overall good condition with minute wear to gilt and scattered minor residue. Teapot with minor fleabite to spout. Two teacups with minute scattered fleabites to rim and base; two teacups with minor hairlines, largest measuring 1 1/2" L. One saucer with minor loss to base measuring 1/2" L; one saucer with minute loss to rim measuring 1/4" x 1/8" and hairline measuring 1". Teacup with scalloped rim with minor loss to rim measuring 1/8" x 1/8".
