Grouping of six (6) early Chinese Export Famille Rose porcelain plates. 1st item: Porcelain plate, having a reticulated and gilt rim, the center with a polychrome floral spray. Old retailer label en verso reading "McClean Antiques, Macon, Georgia". 9 1/2" dia. 2nd-3rd items: Two (2) porcelain plates, both with pink floral wave decoration to the rims and polychrome floral spray decoration to the centers. 9 1/4" and 9" dia. 4th item: Porcelain plate, having cobalt border and floral designs. 8 3/4" dia. 5th item: Porcelain plate, having a turquoise diapered border and three floral sprigs. 8 7/8" dia. 6th item: Porcelain plate, having floral border and center on a white ground. 9 1/8" dia. All Chinese, 18th/early 19th century.
PROVENANCE: The Collection of Dr. Joe Newsom Rawlings, Davisboro, Georgia.
CONDITION: 1st item: A couple of shallow chips to the underside of the rim, some scattered fleabites to footring. 2nd-3rd items: Plate with multiple floral sprays with scattered minute chipping and fleabites and two very tight hairlines to the rim, visible from the underside, both 2" L. Other plate with scattered wear to rim and minute scattered fleabites. 4th item: Old repair to rim and hanger added for wall. 5th item: Minute fleabite to the underside of the rim. 6th item: Scattered fleabites to rim, 2 hairlines to rim, and spider hairline to base as well as scattered firing flaws.
