Philippe Lejeune (France/Los Angeles, b. 1951) acrylic stick on board cityscape painting or drawing of the New York City skyline with a Mobilgas advertising sign at lower right, 1985. Lejeune renders the buildings, shown in contre-jour, with pastel tones including greens, blues, pinks, and yellows. Signed lower left. Additionally signed, dated, and inscribed “Painting Mobilgas / Acrylic / October Westport” en verso. Housed in a giltwood frame with tan linen liner. Sight: 17 in H x 19 1/2 in W. Frame: 24 in H x 26 1/4 in W.
