Plains Indian beaded war club and beaded long stem pipe. 1st item – Plains Indian war club with stone head and beaded leather shaft. 24 1/2" length. Late 19th century/Early 20th century. 2nd item – Plains Indian beaded long stem pipe with cloth wrapped wooden shaft with stitched beaded blue beads and thin metal wrapping. 18 1/2" length. Early 20th century. Provenance: Descendants of the estate of Madge Hardin Walters, early 20th century collector and dealer of Native American and author of Early Days and Indian Ways, Westernlore Press, 1956. Condition: 1st item – wooden shaft broken where newer leather is wrapped near top of shaft, missing and frayed beads throughout. 2nd item – bowl with old break/loss intersecting shaft, missing beads, loose metal wrapping.
