A few red leaves hang from the tree’s branches and a female figure with a goat stand beneath it, with a distant house at right. Pencil signed and numbered 30/50 to lower margin. Housed under acrylic in a silvered wood frame with cream mat. Sight: 14 1/4 in. H x 12 in. W. Framed: 24 in. H x 20 in. W. 2nd item: Aquatint etching that depicts a bird standing in a landscape. A building stands at left and a figure rows a boat across a body of water at upper right. Pencil signed and numbered 2/50 to lower margin. Housed under glass in a silvered frame. Sight: 21 1/2 in H x 14 1/4 in. W. Framed: 22 3/4 in. H x 15 1/2 in. W. 3rd item: Aquatint etching titled “La Mouette” (The Gull) that depicts a red bird in flight over a body of water, with the top of a tower shown partially at lower center. Pencil signed and numbered 62/100 to lower margin. Housed under glass in a silvered and giltwood frame with white mat. Sight: 17 in. H x 13 in. W. Framed: 23 1/2 in. H x 17 3/4 in. W. 4th item: Aquatint etching that depicts a bird that rests atop a red, flowering plant. Pencil signed and numbered 61/120 to lower margin. Housed under glass in a giltwood frame with white mat. Sight: 14 1/2 in. H x 12 in. W. Framed: 23 1/2 in. H x 16 in. W. PROVENANCE: Irene Sullivan Estate, Oak Ridge, TN descendant of the Callahan family of Knoxville, TN; Item 3 purchased from Christie’s Contemporary Art (now CCA Galleries).
CONDITION: Overall very good condition. Item 2 with even toning and minor foxing to sheet. Not examined out of frames. Items 1 and 2 with minor abrasions and losses to frames.
