Forty-five (45) pieces antique sterling silver flatware in the Aesthetic Movement "Japanese" pattern by Whiting, late 19th century. Includes 11 dinner forks, 11 salad forks, 12 tablespoons, and 11 teaspoons. Monogrammed "Lockett" en verso of handles. 78.27 troy ounces. Note: The "Japanese" pattern was designed by Charles Osborne, Whiting''s most important designer, and patented in 1874.
PROVENANCE: By descent in the Lockett family of Ste. Genevieve, Missouri, used at the historic Olde House.
CONDITION: Overall very good condition with some light use wear and monograms. 7 of the tablespoons have wear to tips of bowls.
