Four (4) Wood and Hughes Aesthetic Movement sterling silver items. 1st-3rd items: Sugar bowl and cream pitcher with hammered surface and band of chased foliate and fan decoration, twist bail handle to bowl, plus a matching sugar spoon having a gilded mid-rib bowl. All 3 items monogrammed H to underside, spoon with additional retailer''s mark for Carrington, Thomas & Co. of Charleston, South Carolina. 4th item: Small Wood and Hughes oval tray with fluted sides, worn monogram, 4 1/2" x 6". All items stamped "W & H / Sterling", circa 1870. 12.19 oz troy combined weight.
PROVENANCE: By descent in the historic Pinckney family of Runnymede Plantation, South Carolina.
CONDITION: Sugar bowl and pitcher each have multiple 1/2" dents to side, and denting to rim. Spoon has wear to gilding on bowl. Small tray is in good condition.
