1st item: English Regency burlwood sarcophagus form tea caddy on bun feet with wood ring handles and two lidded inner compartments. 7″ H x 9″ W x 5 1/2″ D. Early 19th century. 2nd item: English walnut letter box or writing desk, with silver and mother of pearl inlay to the lid. Faux painted interior with upper and lower fitted compartments. 4 1/2″ H x 11 1/8″ W x 7 1/2″ D. Mid to late 19th century.
CONDITION: 1st item: Wood shrinkage to the lid with minor losses and repairs to each corner. Escutcheon is absent with approx 1″ wood shrinkage below escutcheon. 2nd item: Losses to two corners of the lid. The inner lid cover and lower section cover are both loose. 4 1/2″ H x 11 1/8″ W x 7 1/2″ D.
