Small early leather dome top trunk with brass tack decoration, forming hearts on each side and the letters S and T on top, 1837 on front. Possibly a dowry or marriage trunk. Old newspaper lining, original hinges. 8" H x 13" W x 8" D. Circa 1837. Provenance: Estate of Salli LaGrone, Franklin, Tennessee, purchased in Abingdon, S.C. Condition: Some areas of loss to exterior.
