Antique Chi-Chi Caucasian rug or carpet with Kufic border, wool on wool construction. Central blue field with stylized flowers and medallions with seven primary borders including a Trefoil outer border. Woven in blue, red, salmon, gold, purple, and cream colors. 75" x 48". Circa 1880''s.
PROVENANCE: Private Des Moines, Iowa collection.
CONDITION: Overall very good condition with very minor wear to center and to the left border. Top verso fitted with wood rod and homemade denim loops for hanging.
