1st item: Silverplated hunting case square pocket watch, with a French movement by Charles Hour. It has an enameled dial with Roman numeral hour markers, a black outer minutes track, blue hour and seconds hands, and four inner subsidiary dials including month, date of month, lunar or moon phase, and seconds. The upper dial marked Greenleaf & Crosby, Florida, for the retailer, and the lower dial marked Ch Hour France for the works. The mechanical works are marked “CH HOUR France” and Seventeen Jewels”. The back case has an engraved duck hunting scene, and the dial case surround with geometric engraved designs. 3 3/4″ H (w/ stem) x 2 1/2″ W. Circa 1900. Note: Greenleaf & Crosby, a high-end jewelry retailer, was established in Palm Beach, Florida, in 1894. 2nd item: An A. Stowell & Co., Inc. travel clock in the original leather case. Consisting of a white enameled dial with Arabic numeral hour markers, a black outer minutes track, and the upper dial marked “A Stowell & Co. Inc.”. Fitted with a Swiss General Watch Company movement containing eleven jewels and two adjustments, numbered 2911405. Clock face measures 2 3/8″ dia. Case measures 4 1/4″ x 4″.
CONDITION: 1st item: Watch functions when wound. Professional servicing is recommended. 2nd item: Dial with hairlines. Clock does not function, professional servicing is recommended. Leather case with wear and losses. Markers with fading to original black color.
