Large Persian Heriz rug or carpet, wool on cotton. Large central medallion having a red ground with various foliate and palmette designs flanked by blue ground foliate spandrels, all within three primary borders. Woven in red, blue, gold, salmon, green, and cream colors. 8 ft 7 in x 10 ft 10 in. Circa 1930s.
PROVENANCE: The estates of Walter and Dr. Mary Schatz, Nashville.
CONDITION: Overall good condition with light even wear, losses to fringed ends.
