Antique Ersari Chuval Turkestan rug, wool on wool, central red field with foliate medallion designs, within three primary borders. Woven in colors of red, salmon/pink, blue, and cream. 60 1/2 in. x 32 1/2 in. Circa 1875 – 1880.
PROVENANCE: Private Des Moines, Iowa collection.
CONDITION: Some light scattered staining, losses to pile primarily to salmon/pink and white colors.
