1st item: Tekke Turkmen floor rug, the red center field with three rows of seven guls interspersed with foliate designs within three primary borders. 4 ft. 9 in. x 3 ft. 7 in. Circa 1910 – 1915. 2nd item: Antique Ersari Turkmen Prayer rug, wool on wool. central brick red ground “mihrab’” niche with gul designs, and three primary borders. Woven in red, blue, and cream colors. 3 ft. 7 in. x 2 ft. 9 in. Circa 1900.

PROVENANCE: Private Des Moines, Iowa collection.

CONDITION: 1st item: Scattered light pile wear, white staining, and losses to fringed ends. 2nd item: Scattered uneven pile wear, losses to fringed ends
