Pair blue and white oval shaped chestnut baskets with underplates, marks for Spode (Tiber pattern), blue and white landscape transfer pattern with bridges, towers, willows and buildings and pierced oval design sides. 2-3/4"h x 9" W x 6" D (including underplates). English, circa 1820. Provenance: the estate of Margaret Wemyss Connor, Nashville, Tennessee. Condition: One basket has a 1/3" crack to upper rim. Other pieces in very good condition.
