Molded round creamware basket and plate, both with pierced sides, the basket with twisted handles and applied angel masks, the plate with impressed shield mark (__berg?). Plate 8-1/2" Diameter. Continental, late 18th to early 19th century. Provenance: the estate of Margaret Wemyss Connor, Nashville, Tennessee. Condition: Basket: Some crazing, 1/4" flakes to each handle and flaw to rim. Plate: two 1/2" hairlines to border, few rim chips.
