Lot 230: 19th C. Folk Art Theorem on Velvet

Large American School, possibly Southern, 19th c. Folk Art Theorem, Still Life with blue and white porcelain pitcher, watermelon, and basket of fruit. Unsigned. Housed under glass in a later giltwood frame with carved corner elements. Sight: 30 in W x 19 in H. Frame: 33 in W x 22 in H. 

PROVENANCE: A Nashville, Tennessee estate.

CONDITION: Toning and staining throughout, particularly to border. Not examined out of frame.
