18th Century English bracket or table clock in Japanned case, with gilt chinoiserie style decoration; bombe style top with brass handle and gilt pineapple form finials, over a case with arched original silvered and engraved brass dial signed William Jourdain, London, and applied pierced gilt spandrels, all on a molded base with bracket feet. Brass fusee works with bell strike, crown escapement. 20″H x 11 1/2″W x 7″D. Circa 1725-1750. Condition: Works show wear and minor expected refurbishments. Significant wear to face, scattered abrasions/wear to case. Front glass panel and 1 circular side glass panel are replaced. No lock, missing key. Rear back right foot missing.
