Group of three (3) Asian textiles. 1st item: Chinese Civilian Mandarin rank badge, square silk badge embroidered with pheasant amongst flowers and clouds over waves. Thread colors of ivory, blues, green, and red. Unframed. 8 1/4" H x 8 1/2" W. 2nd item: Chinese silk embroidery "Forbidden Stitch" panel depicting a central peony surrounded by other flowers and foliage and a silk border, all sewn onto a silk backing. Thread colors of ivory, blues, green, and rust. 12" H x 12 1/4" W. Late 19th/early 20th century. 3rd item: Small narrow band of painted fabric, possibly a remnant of an early Tibetan thangka, in colors of red, blue, green, rust, and white. Housed in a gilt wood frame. Thangka – 8 1/2" H x 1 1/4" W. Framed – 13 1/8" H x 6" W. 19th century or earlier. Provenance: Estate of Celia (Cece) Webb, Nashville, TN. CONDITION: 1st item: Fraying to fret work border, light general wear. 2nd item: Some fading to silks, some light stains, mostly to back. 3rd item: Item is a fragment cut down from a larger canvas, overall good condition.
