Amish eight-pointed star pattern variation quilt, hand pieced and hand quilted. Rendered with cotton fabrics in colors of bright yellow, brown, and blue. The top is applied to a brown patterned backing, with a separately applied solid brown binding. 81" H x 80" W. Possibly Lancaster Co., Allentown Pennsylvania, circa 1840.
CONDITION: Overall very good condition. Small patch repair to backing, 1" dia. Few minute scattered stains to front, largest approximately 1/4" dia. Small 1" L stitch repair to front, where border meets binding.
