Chinese martaban or storage jar, green glaze with splashes of red and blue; flared rim, loop handles at shoulder with molded lotus decoration at neck, over a band of molded floral scroll decoration and molded dragons and clouds to body. Lower 3" of jar unglazed. 22" H. Provenance: Nashville collection, acquired in New York City circa 1970. CONDITION: Crazing to glaze throughout, firing imperfections including glaze pops and a 2 1/2" firing crack, scattered wear and abrasions, small minor chips to foot/underside.
