Five (5) Asian Items, including three (3) Bronze figures and two (2) Chinese Wood Panels. 1st item: Bronze seated Sukothai Buddha figure, depicted in the Dhyana Mudra pose atop a pedestal and mounted onto a wood base. 7-1/2" H w/base. 20th century label underneath attributes it to the 14th century. 2nd item: Bronze figural hinged container, possibly an incense burner, in the form of the Goddess Lakshmi riding atop an elephant. 11-1/4" H x 6-3/4" W x 7-1/4" D. 19th century. 3rd item: Bronze deity, likely Thai, depicted standing with a top knot, painted eyes, gold earrings and tassel. 13" H. 19th century. 4th item: Carved and pierced hardwood Chinese panel, top section with chrysanthemum and other floral and foliate motifs outlined by shaped frame support and lower section of garden scene with figures, trees and pagoda, also in shaped frame support. Carving mounted to rectangular wood base. Carving – 33-1/4" H x 18-1/2" W x 1-1/2" D. Base – 2-1/4" H x 20-3/4" W x 6" D. 20th century. 5th item: Carved and pierced hardwood Chinese panel, top section with chrysanthemum, lotus and foliate motifs with shaped bracket, lower section with carved village scene with buildings, figures and trees, also with shaped and carved arch support. Carving mounted to rectangular wood base. Carving – 32-3/4" H x 20" W x 1-1/2" D. Base – 2-1/4" H x 20-3/4" W x 6" D. 20th century. Provenance: The Estates of Olen Bryant and late Vanderbilt University art professor Thomas Brumbaugh, Clarksville/Cottontown, Tennessee. CONDITION: 1st-3rd item: Several fissures to body and face of Sukothai Buddha. Dent to backside of elephant. Overall general wear to all pieces. 4th item: Overall good condition with scattered age cracks. 5th item: Overall good condition with scattered age cracks and natural wood split at right front at base.
