1st Item: Mr. (Tim) Hooper (Tennessee, 20th/21st Century) Southern folk outsider art oil on canvas painting titled "This is Muddy Waters". The painting depicts the African American blues singer and songwriter McKinley Morganfield, known professionally as "Muddy Waters" playing an electric guitar in an interior setting surrounded by lyrics to his song "Rollin' Stone" reading "Well My Mother Told My Father Just Before I Was Born You Got A Boy Child Coming Gonna Be A Rollin Stone". Signed "Mr. Hooper 2000" lower right. Unframed. 20" H x 16' W. 2nd item: Mixed media on canvas Folk Art painting after the iconic work "American Gothic" by Grant Wood (Iowa, 1891-1942) rendered in simplified forms and bright colors. Inscription to frame bordering canvas about the original work and artist reading, "AMERICAN GOTHIC, GRANT WOOD, 1891-1942, INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION, IOWA, FARMLAND, 1930, SISTER NAN, DENTIST DR. McKEEBY, REGIONALISM, PROFESSOR IOWA, CANCER". Possibly by Mr. Hooper (American/Tennessee, 20th-21st Century). Float mounted in a handmade painted wood shadowbox with plexiglass. Sight: 16" H x 13 1/4" W. Framed: 17 3/4" H x 16" W x 2 1/4" D.

CONDITION: 1st item: Overall good condition with some abrasion to the corners and lower center. 2nd item: Overall good condition with some light grime and scratching to plexiglass.
