East Tennessee cherry chest of drawers in the Hepplewhite style, poplar secondary. One board cherry top with simple flat molding over four graduated dovetailed drawers with scratch beading. Kite inlaid escutcheons, oval brasses possibly original. Shaped apron with line inlay, French feet with spur returns. 39 3/4 in. L x 19 1/4 in. W x 39 1/4 in. H. Possibly Greene Co., TN, circa 1810.
PROVENANCE: Estate of Donna C. Rogers, Greeneville, TN.
CONDITION: Older refinish. Case with some scuffing, scratches, light indentations, especially around the apron and feet. Refinished. Minor build-up of drawer sides. Original feet with some blocking replaced. Old tin repair to backboards.
