Two (2) Piedmont, North Carolina, salt-glazed stoneware pottery jugs. 1st item: Cylindrical form jug stamped M.H. CRISCO for William Henry Chrisco (Moore and Randolph Counties, 1857-1944). Pulled handle applied to the shoulder and the neck, stamped M.H. CRISCO on the upper shoulder across from the handle. 11 3/4" H. Late 19th/Early 20th century. 2nd item: Cylindrical form jug stamped J.D.CRAVEN for Jacob Dorris Craven (Randolph County, 1826-1895). Pulled handle attached to the shoulder and neck with stamped J.D.CRAVEN on the left of the handle base and an additional square stamp on the handle terminus. 12" H. Late 19th century.
CONDITION: Item 1: Very good condition with a few small chips to the rim. Item 2: Overall very good condition with clay discoloration or staining near base.
