Piedmont, North Carolina, salt-glazed stoneware pottery jar stamped W.C.RUTH for William Clay Routh (Randolph County, 1835-1910). A cylinder-shaped jar with a flared collar. Stamped W.C.RUTH at the base. 11" H. Last half 19th century.
CONDITION: Overall very good condition with a couple of shallow flakes to the inner ledge of the jar interior, a couple of glaze "pops" near the base from the firing process.
