A collection of twelve (12) early Brass Candlesticks, including one pair of Ecclesiastical altar candlesticks (height: 16 inches) and one pair of plain tapered column candlesticks with round bases (10 1/2 inches). The remaining candlesticks are singles, with petal or octagonal bases, plus one large chamberstick with embossed decoration to pan, with heights range from 2 inches to 10 inches). English and Continental, 18th and 19th centuries.
PROVENANCE: Estate of Judge John Nixon, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Scattered wear, some push-up mechanisms with missing parts or no longer functional, wax residue. The candlestick with widest base has some small holes to base.
