Pair of large Chinese Export porcelain Rose Medallion garniture vases, polychrome enameled with decorative reserves depicting flowers, birds, and butterflies, and various vignettes depicting Chinese figures engaging in various activities. Both with scalloped rims and applied gilded Ch''i Lung dragons to the necks and upper shoulders. Old US Customs label to underside of one vase. 18" H. Late 19th century.
PROVENANCE: By descent in the historic Pinckney family of Runnymede Plantation, South Carolina.
CONDITION: Both vases are overall in very good condition with no visible breaks, cracks, or chips. Light scattered wear to polychrome and gilt decoration.
