Italian Capodimonte porcelain relief plaque depicting the biblical account of Adam and Eve with an angel in the Garden of Eden, enclosed in an octagonal black lacquer frame mounted with incised and raised ormolu decoration and inlaid with lapis and agate cabochons. Marked "N" with a crown for Naples, Italy, en verso. Sight: 8 1/4" H x 6 1/2" W. Framed: 20" H x 17 1/2" W. Late 19th Century.
PROVENANCE: Property of a Tennessee Religious Institution.
CONDITION: Very good condition with no visible chipping or restoration to porcelain plaque. Expected patination to frame.
