Southern one-piece stepback wall cupboard, cherry primary, poplar secondary, pegged construction. Consisting of a deep ogee cornice above a highly figured applied scalloped frieze, two six-pane glazed doors enclosing three shelves, over two blind paneled doors enclosing two shelves, base with ogee molding extending around the edges of both sides of the form, all resting on dovetailed bracket feet with a shaped skirt. 85 1/2" H x 18 3/4" D x 44 1/2" W. Mid-19th century.
PROVENANCE: The living estate of Dr. Jerry Waters, Maryville, TN.
CONDITION: Overall very good condition. Older refinish, original locks absent, pulls are replacements. Lower right door has wear exposing tendon on upper left corner.
