American, possibly South Carolina, Federal satin and ebony inlaid mahogany Pembroke table, poplar and white pine secondary. Consisting of a rectangular mahogany top with hinged-shaped leaves above a single drawer, dark and light line inlay on top, leaves, apron, and drawer. The square tapered legs have Prince of Wales feather and sword line inlay on each corner, along with bellflower and line inlay. 28 1/2 in. H x 29 3/4 in. D, 40 in. total W (w/ leaves). Circa 1800.
CONDITION: Overall good condition with an older finish. Scattered wear and abrasions consistent with age and use. Old stop applied to the underside of one leaf to level the leaf with the rest of the table surface when it is raised. Brass pulls are later replacements.
