Diminutive Middle Tennessee or Kentucky cherry Jackson press, poplar secondary. two-part construction. The top section with an ogee cornice and plain frieze over rectangular paneled doors enclosing three shelves, canted carved base molding. The lower section has two dovetailed drawers fitted with wooden pulls above paneled doors and sides enclosing two shelves, all resting on turned feet. Second quarter of 19th century. 82 1/2" H x 43 1/4" W x 20 1/4" D.
CONDITION: Older refinished surface with expected overall use wear, some abrasions to upper door cabinet sides. Upper cabinet hinges are replacements with patches to old hinge placements. Lower cabinet right door with old repair to lower left corner. Wear and minor abrasions to feet.
