Scarce Kentucky walnut tailor counter or sewing table with single drop leaf, three graduated dovetailed drawers on both sides of the table with the drawers supported by one continuous set of drawer supports, and Swivel support underside drop leaf. Paneled construction on front and back, diminutive turned Sheraton feet. Poplar secondary. 37 7/8 in. W x 19 in. D x 30 1/4 in. H closed, 35 3/8 in. depth when leaf open. Possibly Shaker. Second quarter of the 19th century. A copy of the 1980 sales receipt accompanies this piece. Provenance: Private Kentucky Collection.
CONDITION: Older refinished surface with finish discoloration to fall leaf and minor abrasions to top. Some of the drawer stops are missing.
