Scarce Kentucky tailor counter or sewing table with single drop leaf, three graduated dovetailed drawers on both sides of the table with the drawers supported by one continuous set of drawer supports, paneled construction on front and back, diminutive turned Sheraton feet. Swivel support underside drop leaf and drawer stops with similar construction to tables found at South Union, Kentucky. 37 7/8 in. W x 19 in. D x 30 1/4 in. H closed, 35 3/8 in. depth when leaf open. Possibly South Union, Second quarter of the 19th century.
CONDITION: Older refinished surface with finish discoloration to fall leaf and minor abrasions to top. Some of the drawer stops are missing.
