Oil on canvas painting depicting a window view of an early, multi-story Federal-style building with green shutters and a fenced courtyard, possibly Rogersville, Tennessee, with a church visible in the distance. Pencil signed en verso, possibly reading "E. [L. or P.] Hill." and dated 1883. Housed in a molded gilt wood frame. Sight: 11 1/2" H x 9 1/4" W. Framed: 14.5" H x 12.5" W.

CONDITION: Overall grime with a few abrasions to the perimeter and an approximate 1" horizontal tear below the lower right edge of the window. Frame with scattered abrasions and some inpainting.
