Grouping of Chinese Republic period porcelains and earlier textiles. 1st item – Pair of Famille Rose porcelain vases, each painted with design of a vase of flowers with basket and additional flowers in the background. Oval red seal to backside of vases and undersides with square red seals. 9 1/8"H. Early 20th century. 2nd item – Famille Rose porcelain Buddha figure, depicted with children perched on his lap and shoulders. Underside marked with two impressed square seals. 7 1/4"H. 20th century. 3rd and 4th items – Two Forbidden Stitch embroideries with hardwood frames, the wider embroidery depicting a vase with flowers and censer among foliage, the other with a scene of butterflies among flowers and vines. 10" x 13 1/4" and 8 3/4" x 14 3/4". Late 19th/Early 20th century. Provenance: the estate of Mary Alice Clements, Nashville, TN. Condition: 1st item – excellent.. 2nd item – excellent. 3rd item – some disclorations to white background.
