French Louis XV style commode in dark lacquer and parcel-gilt paint, decorated in the Chinoiserie style. Blocked form front with a conforming marble-veined top above two drawers and resting on slender cabriole feet with ormolu mounts. 33" H x 34 1/2" W x 15 1/4" D. Late 19th/Early 20th century.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Pia Stratton, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Overall good condition with minor general wear, losses, and abrasions. Interior of case with later added paint and stain. Ormolu sabots missing both front legs.
