1st item: Howard Finster (Georgia/Alabama, 1916-2001) paint and marker on glass cookie or candy jar with open top, decorated with multiple faces and figures. Signed and numbered on base and dated October 25, 1996 with additional inscription, “Jesus is coming in Great Power”. 8 in. H x 6 in. W x 8 in. D. 2nd-3rd items: Howard Finster (American/Alabama, 1916-2001) carved and painted folk art double-sided wooden Santa figure with hat cut-out or ornament.  Signed and dated “Howard Finster, Nov-6-1996, 39.000.979 works” and titled “Merry Christmas” on each side. The lot also includes a book illustrated with Howard Finster art with the poem “The Night Before Christmas” poem by Clement C. Moore. Cut-out measures 6 1/2 in. H. Book measures 10 1/4 in. H x 8 1/4 in. W.

PROVENANCE: The Estate of Elisabeth Hardin, Gadsden, Alabama.

CONDITION: 1st item: Some minor wear and fading to marker, overall good condition. 2nd-3rd items: Minor wear to the edges of the Santa cut-out—book jacket with light wear to the front lower edge.
