Pair of 19th century handmade black boy and girl rag dolls, both made of stuffed knit stocking with applied painted eyes and remnants of a painted mouth, black cloth applied ears, curly yarn(?) hair and black painted cloth arms. Both attired in circa 1930s vintage clothing and red leather shoes with accessories, including a leather purse and Warren Harding Presidential pin (girl) and a leather football (boy). Girl measures 21" H. Boy measures 20-1/2" H. Both late 19th century. Two contemporary metal stands are included. Condition: Overall good condition with expected wear. Some wear/losses to face of girl, some cracking of leather.
