Chippendale mahogany tilt-top tea table, possibly Philadelphia, the top with molded and scalloped "pie crust" edge and set on a bird cage support with baluster turnings, over a fluted column standard atop cabriole legs with leaf carved knees and ball and claw feet. 43" H (with top vertical), 26 1/4" H (with top horizontal) x 30" dia. Circa 1760. Provenance: Private Lookout Mountain, TN collection. CONDITION: Age crack to top, some minor surface scratches to top, old brace to tripod base, abrasions to feet, drilled holes to bottom of feet, possibly indicating use of casters.
