Howard Finster (American/Alabama, 1916-2001) folk art panel titled “How Did The Leaf Form Itself”, consisting of carved wood with applied acrylic panels and beads depicting a church carved on an acrylic panel with figures in the doorways lower section, the garden of Eden middle section and the heavenly realm with a large star to the center in the upper section, all within a carved applied border. Signed in the church panel “By Howard Finster, From God to You”. Additional signatures and inscriptions in pencil en verso and dated en verso “Feb. 1985”. 16 in. H x 10 3/4 in. W.
CONDITION: Overall very good condition with light wear.
